The Doctor's Newsletter Team Dr Robert Vial - Chairman & Founder MB BS UNSW 1988 + B. Med Sc (Medical Science) UNSW in Medical Education 1985 Robert commenced general practice in 1992. Robert and his partner Dr Valli Venkatesan now own and run a very successful general practice called the 'DRUMMOYNE FAMILY MEDICAL PRACTICE" in the inner west. The practice is fully computerised and has full online medical facilities.
The practice is a 3 person medical practice with a part time psychologist. The Internet is used widely for research and the practice is fully wired for broadband. Dr Robert founded the Doctor's News Letter in 2002. He runs a successful practice in Drummoyne and is passionate about making effective marketing and communication tools available for the general practitioner to use. Robert’s thesis at UNSW was on “ How Doctors make clinical decisions and the application of this process in relation to education”. The idea for the newsletter grew from his early experiences as an intern and the writing of his thesis.

Robert is the company doctor and will be the "Medical Marketing Face" of the business. Roberts’s role with Sure Slim is to advise about their client’s medical problems and conditions. Robert screens all the blood results from their clients and advises on the course of action.

Dr Valli commenced general practice in 1992 as is currently one of the resident GP’s at “THE DRUMMOYNE FAMILY MEDICAL PRACTICE”. Valli heads up our research team at the Doctor's News letter and brings a dedication to the firm that provides us with up to date happenings with market trends at GP level. With more than twenty-five years experience in senior management in business, professional services and government as Chief Executive (17 years), GM, and Company Director. Robert’s experience includes change management, operations, team management and development. His roles have included leading corporate and individual business units in both the public and private sectors with responsibility for annual budgets exceeding $150 million. Robert has program & project management experience coupled with sound IT knowledge and experience in the planning, development and implementation of complex technical projects. He has demonstrable strengths in organisational analysis and design, strategic planning & implementation, transitional management, people management & development, bid management & strategy, outsourcing and joint ventures. Robert’s strengths in negotiation, facilitation and communication have enabled Robert to manage such diverse projects as privatising a public hospital; introducing competitive tendering to a major public sector department generating savings in excess of $80 million pa. Robert has been a board director of hospitals, private health organisations & associations (state and federal) as well as a number of private companies. Colin Seeger has been actively involved in copyright and intellectual property management for nearly 20 years. He is experience includes: Partner in the boutique legal practice Simpson’s Solicitors, advising on licensing and commercializing intellectual property, litigation, venture structuring and management of intellectual property rights in businesses and organisations. Corporate Counsel and Legal & Business Affairs Manager for Polygram Australia, overseeing the acquisition and creation of recordings and films as well as managing the administration and enforcement of the company's extensive catalogues of copyrights, trademarks and intellectual property. Contract to Chappell Music Publishing Limited, in London, developing a cutting-edge automated copyright administration system. He was a member of the Australian Record Industry Association's Copyright Committee for five years and sat on the Ethics Committee of The Law Society of New South Wales dealing with complex ethics issues. He is co-author of the first edition of the widely respected book "Music Business" and was a lecturer at the University of New South Wales College of Fine Arts, teaching the post-graduate subject "Cultural Property, Ethics and the Law" - a cross-discipline subject combining commercial law, intellectual property and business administration. In 1996, he created a new consultancy to help business ventures of all kinds generate and secure their intellectual property for maximum benefit to the venture and the business. He has provided commercial and industry advice to a wide range of companies, artists and media companies including television networks, internationally broadcast TV programmes and technology start-ups, assisting them develop novel commercialisation strategies. He also assists existing enterprises identify and audit their IP and create strategies. This is assists the enterprise to better understand its strengths and areas if special advantage over competitors.
